Student Leadership Team

Nat Mundorf (Head Captain)

My name is Nat Mundorf, and I’m a senior at Apex High School. This is my third year as part of Apex Robotics and first year as Head Captain. Prior to becoming Head Captain, I was part of the Engineering team for two years, and I’m thrilled to be able to have this chance to give back to our community and promote new people getting involved in being able to build and code the robot. My primary goals for the club this year include setting up more efficient organizational systems for the team, ensuring that everyone has a chance to meaningfully contribute to the robot, and promoting team members developing skills that will benefit them, even outside the realm of FIRST.

Aman Anas (Vice-Captain)

Hi, my name is Aman Anas and I’m a Junior at Apex High School. This is my third year on the team and fifth year competing in FIRST programs. I enjoy working on many aspects of robot design, engineering, and software. Looking forward to a great season!

Steve Snare (Engineering Captain)

My name is Steve Snare and I am a Senior at Apex High School. I am part of 3916 and I have a total of 2 years of experience with robotics. I was named Engineering Captain at the end of my first year on the team. My role as Engineering Captain is to oversee the design and construction of the robot, and to teach others the basic skills that go into making a robot. My goal for this year is to make sure everyone is included in the building of the robot and to ensure that no one feels like they weren’t given anything to do. My passion for robotics stemmed from my love for math and sciences that I’ve had my whole life. I love figuring out why our robot isn’t working the way it should and coming up with solutions to make it work. In the future, I’d like to become a physics professor so I can do research and have a discovery named after me.

Gabrian Chua (Programming Captain)

Hello, my name is Gabrian Chua and I’m a Senior at Apex High School. I have been with Apex Robotics for three years and have been the Programming Captain for one year. I have been programming since I was about 12 years old and have enjoyed every step of the way. From BASIC to VB.NET, JavaScript to C#, and Python to Java, I have tried my best to become as well-rounded in programming as I can be. Personally, I find it extremely rewarding to write and debug code and finally see it work as intended. As programming captain, I am the one to teach the new members Java and the Android Studio IDE each year and I develop most of the code for the robot. I have also tried my best to streamline future processes after I graduate, such as creating template code for future years and refactoring our code to make it easier to develop. Looking forward, I’d like to continue and apply the work I’ve done during Robotics by going into a field focusing on computer science and information technology.

Reiyah Jacobs (Notebook Captain)

Hello! My name is Reiyah Jacobs. I’m a fourteen year old sophomore at Apex High School, and this is my second year taking part in Apex Robotics! I’m honored to be notebook captain this year, and I’m looking forward to a great year!

Arnav Nanda (Vice-Engineering Captain)

Hello, my name is Arnav Nanda and I am a sophomore at Apex High School. This is my second year in Apex robotics and my 5th year competing in robotics competitions (Vex, FTC, FLL). From each of these competitions, I have learned more about the intricacies of engineering, and have gained new and interesting ideas and concepts to contribute to my team. This year as vice-engineering captain I hope I am able to make an impactful contribution to our team and the robot.

Mehul Sharma (Vice-Programming Captain)

Hello, my name is Mehul Sharma and I am a sophomore at Apex High School. This is my second year in Apex Robotics and my first year as vice-programming captain. I help with the programming of the robot and I also help organize our code and make it easier to read. I am looking forward to a great season!
